Food, Love and Breath: the essentials of good health Seminar

Food, Love and Breath: the essentials of good health seminar
A seminar about why and how to bring these to life.

Sydney Sunday 2nd June 2013

This seminar will focus on optimising the basics of life, to create healthy children, adults and indeed society. In modern society, these fundamentals are at risk. Food processing, modern agricultural practices, a busy lifestyle, poor food choices and loss of traditional food values and preparation practices, means that foods that were the staff of life for thousands of years are now not tolerated by large number of people. In modern society there is also a much felt loss of community and connection.

Dr Rosalba Courtney will talk about how loss of connection and community is affecting individual and social health, and show why if we want true health we cannot ignore any one of these three fundamentals. She will share some of the latest research about these fundamentals and some simple practical tools for using the breath to heal and also to cultivate connection.

Jude Blereau and Holly Davis will then create a makeshift wholefood kitchen and work with you to design a meal plan for the season. A wholefood kitchen is a living, breathing space where we translate intent and knowledge into food that nourishes and delights.

Jude and Holly will discuss the contents of a well stocked wholefood pantry. Honest to Goodness will be there to supply many of the ingredients required. Equipping the wholefood kitchen, creating order and bringing a sense of beauty and purpose to the space for the work at hand will enable Jude and Holly to discuss the creation of delicious menus and strategies for developing meals to suit your needs and those you feed.

Please note, this seminar is not a cooking class, but rather an opportunity to discuss tools and information that help make wholesome food a workable part of your busy everyday life and budget. We will do our best to see you are reinvigorated and inspired. You will receive an outline for stocking your own wholefoods kitchen, the menu plan created and recipes for a nourishing and delightful family dinner.
