'Eating is an Agricultural Act' Seminar May 2013

So, what is the state of agriculture in our State? Should we be concerned that we only have 3 remaining milk dairies that produce and bottle their own milk? Why can’t we get organic chickens in WA and what does free range mean anyway?

Do we really understand the terms organic and local, and should we be concerned about the loose manner in which those terms are applied? What about eggs? Do you know which questions to ask that assures you the meat (and animal products) you are buying are ethically raised? Does a farmers market ensure that you are getting quality, ethically raised fruit and vegetables?

This seminar is a unique opportunity to take a closer look at how our farmers are faring, hear directly from them and ask them directly the questions above and many others. Presented by Wholefood Cooking and Taste of Balingup, and supported by Slow Food and the Organic Growers of Western Australia, this seminar is about bringing you face to face with the farmers, giving you the information so you understand the issues facing our farmers, and the information to help you make good and ethical food choices.

Afternoon Tea is served.
Please note, this is not a cooking class.
